Golden Turmeric Smoothie

Smoothies are one thing that I drink almost every single day. It’s one of the easiest ways to consume a large number of nutrients at one time. It’s one thing that leaves me feeling energized and ready to tackle my day. I mean…coffee does this too but with the unfortunate afternoon crash. I’m trying to stop coffee, but this is for a whole different post. 😜 *SPOILER* I’ve tried quitting coffee many many times.

I call this particular smoothie the Golden Smoothie. The ingredients are similar to the popular drink, Golden Milk. For those of you that don’t love the taste of turmeric, you can’t really taste it in this smoothie. If you love turmeric, just add more! I’ll be honest that normally I don’t measure anything. The measurements for the recipe are simply an estimate. Just like with any recipe, I highly encourage you to try different variations and see what works best for your taste buds.



Golden Turmeric Smoothie

1.5 cups Oat Milk of choice

1 scoop Vegan Protein Powder (Orgain)

2 Tablespoons Hemp Hearts

2 Teaspoons MCT Oil

1/2 cup rolled oats

4 small pitted dates

2 Teaspoons Turmeric

1 Teaspoon Cinnamon

1/8 tsp Black Pepper

1 Frozen Banana

1 Tablespoon Peanut Butter


I recommend using organic items whenever possible.


Put all ingredients together in a blender.



Note: You can use ice if you don't have frozen bananas. I personally do not like adding ice to smoothies. Simply open the banana and put in a freezer-safe bag. Add to any smoothie or smoothie bowl.
